Tech & Healthcare Industry Collaboration
Health care providers in the Colorado Springs area are pioneering a system for secure health information exchange between local providers and the state-wide health information system. With funding from grants as well as the local health care community, this system incorporates exchange with military health data stores in order to facilitate transition of care for our soldiers and their families as well as support for the VA and Tricare health services.
A major branch of the UCHealth System, as well as the Centura Hospital System, serve the region’s health care needs. Colorado Springs is also home to Evans Army Community Hospital, a regional military hospital that leads the nation in health care technology. Our health care system serves El Paso County as well as surrounding rural communities. Health care leaders are establishing analytics and regional health care payment reform initiatives based on a community of collaboration and support for innovation in health care.
